Job Summary
Coaches varsity indoor track for Pelham High School, responsible for establishing the program’s philosophy, teaching techniques, and leading the coaching staff. Manages and supervises practices, contests, and athletic activities to promote individual athletic growth, teamwork, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship while adhering to injury procedures. Builds connections with middle school and youth programs to extend the program within the town/community and supports student participation in other school activities. Preferred qualifications include varsity/JV coaching experience, CPR/First Aid, NFHS Certification, NHIAA rules knowledge, and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- NFHS Certification
- Knowledge of coaching techniques and NHIAA rules
- Demonstrated ability to instruct, lead and supervise student athletes
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior high school varsity or junior varsity coaching experience
