Job Summary
Develop and implement athlete-centered coaching philosophy; ensure safety and risk-management compliance (CPR/AED, concussion protocol) and required NFHS and NCISAA certifications; plan and organize practices, training, conditioning and nutrition programs; foster positive values, leadership, and academic eligibility; coordinate logistics including transportation, clinics, fundraising, and parent meetings; collaborate with Athletic Director and school administration to support the Varsity Girls Basketball program; promote safety, ethics, and strong interpersonal skills among staff and students; seasonal stipend position with duties spanning recruiting, roster management, game/performance planning, and community relations.
Required Qualifications
- CPR
- AED certifications
- Concussion Protocol certifications
- NCISAA-approved course in care and prevention of athletic injuries
- Accredited Intersch scholastic Coach certification from the National Federation of High Schools by end of first year
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to organize practices, safety protocols, and transportation arrangements
- Commitment to school athletics ethics and student development
