Job Summary
Varsity Girls Basketball Assistant Coach to support the Varsity Girls basketball program under the Head Coach. Responsibilities include assisting in developing training plans, skill development, and game strategies; fostering an inclusive, values-based team culture; mentoring student-athletes; collaborating with the Athletics Department on equipment, transportation, scheduling, and game-day operations; ensuring compliance with PSAA and NYSAIS rules; supervising practices and games; and using film tools (e.g., Hudl) to support player development and program planning. Start around Nov 1, 2026; compensation is a $6,000 seasonal stipend. Requires strong communication, integrity, and the ability to work evenings/weekends and travel for away games. Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school level coaching experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (in education, sports management, or a related field)
- Availability for evening and weekend commitments, including travel for away games
