Job Summary
Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training while formulating moral values, work ethic, and teamwork. Supervise practices, games, and team trips, maintaining discipline and increasing morale within the school athletic program. Manage program budget and purchasing, oversee uniform/equipment inventory, and establish lettering criteria for Varsity Teams. Implement and enforce policy with parents and players, updating the athletic director frequently on issues, concerns, or highlights. Works in a highly stressful environment with outside weather conditions, requiring heavy physical effort including lifting objects weighing 20 to 50 pounds.

- A mature, godly spirit
- A person of faith and prayer
- A lifestyle of biblical integrity
- A spirit of dedication, commitment, flexibility, and responsiveness
- The ability to listen and respond to counsel
- Ability to organize and supervise a sports program/team
- Good role model
- Excellent verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills
- Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20 to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred previous coaching experience in assigned sport
- Prestonwood Baptist Church member preferred
