Varsity Boys Basketball - YES Prep Gulfton Secondary (26-27)

Coaching role organizing practices and games, monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes, issuing and collecting uniforms, providing an orientation of a sound program to student-athletes, and communicating with coaches and the athletic director on progression. Must have 0-3 years of coaching experience, strong knowledge of basketball rules/terminology, and CPR and AED certification (or availability to obtain). Preferred Bachelor’s Degree and continued education in the sport. Must be on time for all scheduled athletic events, train athletes to be in best physical condition, prioritize academics, stay with the team until all athletes and parents/guardians are accounted for, and ensure compliance with state and YES Prep policies. Additional duties as assigned.
