Varsity Baseball Head Coach

Job Summary
Direct and oversee all aspects of the baseball program from 6th through 12th grade, including JV and Middle School teams. Develop a clear coaching philosophy that instills work ethic, teamwork, and sportsmanship while communicating expectations to players and parents. Plan tryouts, organize practices, and recruit student-athletes for collegiate levels, supervising assistant coaches throughout the March to June season. Build positive relationships with faculty, administrators, parents, and community constituencies while implementing fundraising initiatives. Adhere to school policies, maintain accurate attendance records, and provide a safe, competitive environment for student-athletes.
Required Qualifications
- Previous high school/travel club coaching experience
- Ability to attend all team practices, games, and events
- Expertise, understanding, and passion for the sport of baseball
- Demonstrated commitment to the academic success of the student
- Ability to exemplify the highest standard of leadership, sportsmanship, and respect
- Track record of success working in partnership with students, staff, and parents
- Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20 to 50 pounds
