Job Summary
Supervise students at all times and assume overall responsibility for the conduct and sportsmanship of the squad, including Middle School and varsity programs. Develop a well-organized practice schedule, maintain individual and team discipline, and establish fundamental skills and techniques to be taught. Manage participant lists, transportation, facility neatness, and budget requests while cooperating with parents, media, and the Booster Club. Ensure compliance with Missouri certification, Board, and MSHSAA rules. Work in a noisy, active environment outdoors in extreme heat or cold, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maintain consistent attendance.
Required Qualifications
- Missouri certification
- Experience or knowledge of the sport the individual is coaching
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, board policy, administrative procedures/forms, and government regulations and guidelines
- Ability to complete forms, write reports, and engage in written correspondence with parents
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts as they relate to the sport
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to apply knowledge of current sports rules and regulations
- Understanding and utilization of basic computer skills
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs
- Consistent and regular attendance
- Ability to speak and hear in a noisy, active environment
- Close vision, distance vision, and/or night vision
