Job Summary
Assist the varsity track & field program by planning and executing well-organized practices, coaching student-athletes to develop skill, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork, and maintaining effective communication with the Athletic Director. Ensure compliance with MHSAA rules and uphold professional conduct, while developing character and confidence in student-athletes. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR/AED/First Aid certification; coaching experience with high school students is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledgeable about the rules and fundamental techniques required of the sport
- Ability to obtain current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Ability to work effectively with sports coaching staff, parents, and school staff
- Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Previous successful coaching experience
