Job Summary
Conduct daily transportation for children with special needs from birth to age 6, maintaining a pleasant demeanor and effective communication with families and staff. Assist with multiple tasks in a busy early intervention environment while handling basic computer operations and mathematical calculations. Work full-time or part-time hours in a patient-centered care setting focused on developmental screening, therapy evaluations, and habilitation services for children with documented disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
- Must be able to work with children birth to age 6 and families who are at risk.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills which includes a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
