Job Summary
Van Driver responsible for safely transporting residents to medical appointments, outings, and events; assist with boarding/exiting the van and wheelchair securement; follow schedules for timely pickups/drop-offs; observe residents during transport and report concerns to nursing staff; complete incident reports; maintain a clean, safe vehicle and coordinate vehicle maintenance; communicate with nursing and facility teams; build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff; maintain reliable attendance and flexible hours including weekends. Requires minimum 21 years old, a valid Class D Chauffeur endorsement, clean driving record (no DUI), CPR and first aid certification or willingness to obtain, and a strong focus on safety and compassionate care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Valid Driver’s License with Class D – Chauffeur Endorsement
- Not more than 2 traffic violations within the last 3 years
- No previous driving while under the influence convictions
- CPR and first aide certification or willingness to accomplish
