Job Summary
Transportation Driver for Senior Community Care of North Carolina PACE responsible for the safe and timely transport of SCC participants. Communicates safety issues to the Transportation Manager. Transports participants to and from medical/specialist appointments and activity outings, follows assigned schedule, communicates changes to dispatch, operates vehicle safely and maintains required records (Pre-/Post-Trip Inspections, fuel purchases). Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license (CDL within 6 months if applicable), medical clearance for communicable diseases, and successful background and drug screening. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License in state of hire
- CDL license within six (6) months of hire if location utilizes vehicles requiring a CDL license
- Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Able to handle information in a confidential manner
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Have a minimum of one year experience in working with the frail and elderly population (preferred)
