Job Summary
Transportation Driver responsible for the safe and timely transportation ofSenior Community Care (SCC) participants. Communicates any safety issue to the Transportation Manager; follows assigned schedule and dispatch updates; operates vehicles safely and within licensing regulations; completes daily records (Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections, fuel purchases); reports vehicle or equipment issues to Transportation Manager; transports participants to medical appointments and activity outings as requested by the Interdisciplinary Team via the plan of care. Roles include caring for participants, ensuring satisfaction, and maintaining confidentiality and professional interactions. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license (CDL within 6 months if applicable), medical clearance, background check, and ability to work independently. Preferred: at least one year of experience working with frail and elderly populations. Pay range: $19.25-$23.45 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License in state of hire
- CDL license within six (6) months of hire if location utilizes vehicles requiring a CDL license
- Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before direct participant contact
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Able to handle information in a confidential manner
- Able to deal professionally and diplomatically with people
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
