Job Summary
Conduct approximately 45 delivery stops daily to a mix of commercial and residential locations, handling goods such as coils, radiators, and pipes. Perform both one-man and two-man deliveries while executing heavy lifting and manual handling tasks. Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, professionally, and on time by completing required vehicle checks and paperwork. Provide excellent customer service at every delivery location. Work independently or as part of a team to manage the busy schedule. Full training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence
- Comfortable completing heavy lifting and manual handling
- Ability to work independently and as part of a two-person delivery team
- Reliable, professional and committed approach to work
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage a busy delivery schedule effectively
- Must be available for Monday to Friday working
- Must be available for 08:00 start on Mondays
- Must be available for 07:30 starts Tuesday to Friday
- Must be available for 45 hours per week
- Must be available for finish times of approximately 17:30
- Must be available for no weekend working
- Must be available for no bank holiday working
- Must be able to complete an average of approximately 45 delivery stops per shift
- Must be able to deliver to a mixture of commercial and residential locations
- Must be able to deliver approximately 80% commercial and 20% residential deliveries
- Must be able to complete both one-man and two-man deliveries
- Must be able to deliver a wide variety of products, including coils, radiators, pipes and other goods
- Must be able to ensure all deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time
- Must be able to complete all required vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
Desired Qualifications
- Previous van driving or multi-drop delivery experience
