Job Summary
Van Driver role in Reading delivering customer orders in a multi-temperature-controlled vehicle, maintaining product temperatures, performing vehicle checks per DVSA standards, and complying with health and safety/SSOW requirements. Requires experience with a 3.5/7.5t vehicle, strong attention to detail, good communication, and ability to work a shift pattern (Monday–Friday with 1 in 4 Saturdays). The role involves manual handling of food products, adherence to procedures, and potential progression onto HGV2 through the driver development programme. Required Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence (appropriate category for van/HGV)
- Driver qualification/experience as a 3.5/7.5t vehicle operator
- Awareness of DVSA vehicle checks and compliance with road safety standards
- Ability to manual handle food produce and adhere to SSOW and health & safety rules
- Proactive, customer-focused with good communication skills
- Flexibility to work in a shift system
