Job Summary
Drive the mobile mammography van between scheduled service locations in Springfield, Champaign-Urbana, and Chicago Metro/Cook County areas. Safely position, park, and relocate the unit each Saturday morning, including a midweek move on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections, connect electrical systems, and set up steps, handrails, and signage. Confirm all doors, cabinets, and equipment are secured before the clinical team arrives. Report maintenance concerns, site-access issues, or safety hazards promptly. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and follow all company safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid standard driver's license
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Previous experience driving, moving, setting up, and preparing a mobile mammography van, mobile medical unit, or comparable healthcare vehicle
- Familiarity with mobile-unit electrical connections, entry systems, accessibility equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to independently follow established setup and breakdown instructions
- Availability every Saturday morning for the full assignment
- Availability on the evening of August 25, 2026
- Ability to complete the longer-distance drive from Central Illinois to the Chicago area
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb steps, bend, reach, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong reliability, punctuality, communication, and attention to safety
- Ability to use GPS, email, mobile applications, and basic electronic reporting tools
- Ability to complete company-specific vehicle and safety training
- Ability to pass required background and motor vehicle record screenings
- Reliable transportation to and from the van's scheduled starting and ending locations
- Flexibility when timing changes are required due to traffic, weather, or clinic operations
