Job Summary
Safely transport school-age children from local schools to the daycare center according to an established schedule. Assist children as they enter and exit the vehicle while maintaining communication regarding delays or transportation concerns. Keep the van clean, fueled, and in good operating condition by conducting routine inspections and reporting maintenance needs. Maintain accurate transportation records and follow all safety policies to ensure the well-being of children. Assist with light daycare activities or classroom support when transportation duties are completed. This part-time role supports the Lifespan Services Early Learning Center in Burlington, NC, with a 1:30pm to 4:30pm schedule following local school hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must pass the NCDCDEE Childcare background Check
- Pass a drug screen
- Ability to meet physical requirements associated with transportation duties
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
