Job Summary
Van Driver to provide safe, scheduled transportation for residents of a senior living community. Responsibilities include operating a van, assisting with developing routes and schedules based on resident needs, maintaining mileage and repair logs, submitting expenses, keeping the van clean, reporting incidents, supporting activities programming, and adhering to department policies. Must have a High School Diploma or GED, a safe driving record, current driver’s license for the vehicle type, be organized and able to work in a team, and be physically and mentally capable of performing duties, including assisting residents with stairs and wheelchairs. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Safe driving record and provide a copy of DMV record
- Current driver’s license appropriate for vehicle type
- Polite and considerate demeanor toward residents, visitors, coworkers, and supervisors
- Organized and able to work as part of a team
- Physically and mentally capable of performing job duties
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs frequently, operate a wheelchair lift, and assist residents in a wheelchair
- Professional appearance and ability to wear designated uniform if required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekend and evening hours
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
