Job Summary
Transport participants to and from medical appointments, specialist visits, and activity outings as requested by the Interdisciplinary Team. Deliver meals, durable medical equipment, and pharmacy items to participants as needed. Ensure passenger safety and satisfaction during transport while communicating any safety issues to the Transportation Manager. Follow assigned schedules, adjust for unanticipated changes, and notify dispatch of modifications. Maintain knowledge of transportation industry safety requirements and read routing information. Requires a valid Colorado driver's license, one year experience with the frail and elderly, and ability to handle maps. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, with occasional weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License in state of Colorado
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of insurance
- Means of transportation
- Minimum of one year experience in working with the frail and elderly population
- Ability to read and understand maps and routing information
- Knowledge of safety requirements pertaining to the transportation industry
- Must be available for occasional weekends
