Job Summary
Operate a van for up to 14 passengers while ensuring safe, respectful transportation and providing hands-on support for transfers, wheelchair lifts, and securing oxygen. Perform daily vehicle inspections, complete checklists, fuel vehicles prior to use, and conduct minor cleaning and maintenance to maintain readiness. Assist residents with care and compassion during group outings, shopping trips, and appointments to support their connection and independence. Submit inspection forms and ensure compliance with safety documentation retention standards. Requires a Class "D" Minnesota driver's license, one year of van driving experience with elderly or disabled adults, and ability to pass a DOT physical exam and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class D Minnesota driver's license in good standing
- Ability to meet location-specific regulatory requirements, including passing a DOT physical exam and drug screen where required
- Ability to pass state mandated background checks
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
