Job Summary
Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and special events, assisting with boarding, exiting, and wheelchair securement. Follow schedules to coordinate timely pick-ups and drop-offs while observing residents during transport and reporting concerns to nursing staff. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle by managing fuel, fluids, and basic supplies, and coordinate vehicle maintenance and service needs. Complete incident reports and communicate daily with nursing and facility teams. Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff while maintaining reliable attendance and working flexible hours, including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License with Class D – Chauffeur Endorsement
- Not more than 2 traffic violations within the last 3 years
- No previous driving while under the influence convictions
- CPR and first aide certification or willingness to accomplish
