Job Summary
The Van Driver ensures the safety and supervision of members while providing transportation and adhering to safety regulations. Requires a valid Indiana driver's license and a high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to perform high school level arithmetic calculations and reading comprehension
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- A valid Indiana driver's license and be able to drive an automobile
- Reliable transportation to and from work, to program locations, and for activities such as meetings, classes, and workshops in and out of the area
- Pass a criminal records background check and a 10-panel drug screen
- Maintain current 1st Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Maintain emotional self-control when under personal stress
- Accurately assess situations, solve problems, work effectively under stress, within deadlines, and in emergency situations
- Understand and carry out instructions and procedures with minimal supervision
- Exhibit excellent relationship building skills with all levels of employees and management
Additional Requirements
- Must not operate any BGCFW vehicle if under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or any other mind-altering substances including prescription medicine.
- Must not text in the vehicle while it is moving or stopped at a traffic light or stop sign.
