Job Summary
Operate a van or bus over a scheduled route, performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and minor maintenance as needed. Fuel vehicles, document usage and mileage, and prepare trip, accident, and incident reports. Assist residents and passengers in and out of the vehicle, provide safety briefings, and evacuate residents during emergencies. Receive direction and route assignments from the dispatcher or supervisor, while actively assisting in the enhancement of residents' lives through patient care and staff recruitment, training, and retention. Maintain a valid Texas driver's license, be at least 25 years of age, and pass a motor vehicle screen.
Required Qualifications
- working knowledge of the rules and regulations involved in the safe and efficient operation of automotive equipment
- knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures
- valid driver's license issued by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles
- 25 years of age or older
- ability to pass a motor vehicle screen
- ability to operate a van or small bus
- ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- ability to operate lift equipment
- ability to lift weights of 40-60 lbs
