Valves Development Engineer [High-Thrust Rocket Engine]

Job Summary
Join our engineering team as a Valves Development Engineer where you will design, analyze, and optimize valve components for rocket engines. Key responsibilities include developing cryogenic valves, performing thermo-mechanical and stress-strain calculations, creating 3D models with CAD/CAE tools, and conducting material analysis for extreme temperatures. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a relevant bachelor's degree with experience, along with strong skills in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and mechanical design. Hands-on experience from concept to prototype development and proficiency in CAD software is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related and applicable technical discipline
- Alternatively, a bachelor's degree with substantial relevant experience
- Hands-on experience developing hardware from concept to working prototypes
- Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and mechanical design
- Good understanding of industry standard and emerging manufacturing methods and their respective constraints
- Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software and drafting
- Ability to infer system-level implications of component design choices
- Strong ability to work in close collaboration with others
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong research skills and ability to infer useful information from partial or even contradictory sources
- Drive towards excellence coupled with ability to work within time constraints
- Proficiency in organization and prioritization of tasks
- Fluency in English
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in conducting thermomechanical analysis
- Experience writing software/scripts in languages like Python
- Strong understanding of liquid-propellant rocket engines as a system
