Job Summary
Valve Technician / Painting Specialist assembles mechanical valves and fabricated parts to form assemblies, test and adjust to meet tolerances, and applies primers, paints, and protective coatings to industrial valves. Duties include reading blueprints/schematics, operating hand/power tools, setting up test equipment, maintaining logs of test results, and ensuring corrosion protection and proper identification of valves. Requires English literacy, computer literacy, ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs, and 3-5 years of industry experience; high school diploma or equivalent is required. Familiarity with valve/pump systems, basic math, and paint application processes (including spray painting in paint booths) is preferred; forklift operation and awareness of safety PPE are important for daily tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years industry experience
- Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
- Reading and writing in English
- Forklift operation (preferred)
- JDE experience (preferred)
- Industrial or Automotive Painting experience (preferred)
