Valve Technician / Painting Specialist

Job Summary
Assembles mechanical valves and applies primers, paints, and protective coatings to industrial valves while inspecting finished work for quality. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical orders; assembling components, aligning and testing valve assemblies; operating or setting up test equipment; using hand and power tools; performing surface preparation (sandblasting, cleaning) and coating applications; maintaining documentation of tests, materials usage, and identification numbers; and adhering to safety and inventory procedures. Requires mechanical aptitude, good math skills, English literacy, and 3-5 years of industry experience; physical ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in paint booths with PPE. The role is with Richter Pumps & Valves under IDEX and involves ensuring corrosion protection, durability, and proper identification of valves according to company standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reading and writing in English
- Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
- 3-5 years Industry Experience
