Job Summary
Valve Engineer responsible for valve troubleshooting, maintenance, and failure analysis in an Oil & Gas setting. Key duties include diagnosing valve performance issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and preparing technical reports, reviewing valve specifications and maintenance records, coordinating with operations and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability, and supporting shutdowns, turnaround, and commissioning activities related to valves. Requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5–8 years in Oil & Gas, and at least 3 years of hands-on valve troubleshooting experience. Must have strong knowledge of control, isolation, and safety valves, be able to read engineering drawings and P&IDs, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5–8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in valve troubleshooting and failure analysis
- Strong knowledge of control valves, isolation valves, safety valves, and related equipment
- Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
