Value Stream Process Engineer

Job Summary

Monitor and improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance within the B-Series Value Stream by identifying constraints, bottlenecks, and sources of variation. Lead implementation of Continuous Improvement principles, standard work, and visual management systems to eliminate waste and drive sustainable gains in first pass yield, throughput, and lead time. Conduct root cause investigations using methodologies like 5 Why and A3 Problem Solving to address process issues at their source. Observe production floor activities, support new product introductions, and partner cross-functionally with Product Specialists, Quality Engineers, and Supply Chain teams to optimize workstation design, tooling, and material flow.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering or Continuous Improvement role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Analytical and data-driven decision making
  • Strong understanding of: Manufacturing processes (machining, casting, assembly, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of: Production systems
  • Experience with: Developing Standard work
  • Experience with: Work Instructions
  • Experience with: Process Documentation
  • Experience with: Leading Kaizen
  • Experience with: Problem Solving
  • Experience with: 2D and 3D CAD softwares (AutoCad, Creo, and Solidworks)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a manufacturing or value stream environment
