Job Summary
Oversee the Order Fulfillment Process from quoting through shipping and invoicing for assigned markets, directing production operations including customer service, machining, assembly, processing, packaging, and shipping. Lead, coach, and develop team members while establishing clear expectations to achieve goals for productivity, quality, cost, and culture engagement. Build a safety culture through accident prevention and near-miss remediation, then set production line priorities and schedules to meet customer delivery needs. Monitor inventory levels, drive quality performance, and lead root-cause analysis to eliminate bottlenecks. Promote cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales. Lead kaizens to solve business problems using lean tools like DMAIC and A3, recommend method revisions to minimize costs, and maintain the facility in tour-ready condition. Participate in gross profit reviews and assist with capital project planning. First shift; pay based on experience. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or four years in management required; two years in manufacturing preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- four years of experience in management
- any similar combination of education and experience
- At least two years of experience in the manufacturing industry
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Quality Concepts (i.e. SPC, TQM, JIT)
- Knowledge of Quality Systems (i.e. ISO 9000, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Zero Defects)
