Job Summary
Value Stream Manager responsible for overseeing the Order Fulfillment Process (from quoting through shipping and invoicing) for assigned markets. Leads the plant personnel within their value stream, coordinating production operations through subordinate supervisors and team leads. Key duties include leading and coaching teams, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement, setting production priorities with an emphasis on meeting customer delivery needs, solving problems with root-cause analysis, managing inventory to satisfy demand, driving quality and delivery performance, and collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales. Supports kaizen initiatives using lean problem-solving tools (DMAIC, 5 Why, SDB, DDB), evaluates methods and tooling for efficiency, shares best practices across facilities, maintains tour-ready facilities for customer visits, participates in gross profit reviews and the estimating process, and assists with capital project planning and budgeting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
- four years of experience in management
- at least two years of experience in the manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of Quality Concepts (i.e. SPC, TQM, JIT) and Quality Systems (i.e. ISO 9000, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Zero Defects) is preferred
