Job Summary
Value Stream Manager Assembly for Thermo Fisher Scientific leads daily manufacturing operations in a GMP-regulated environment. Oversees production activities, drives safety, quality, and efficiency, and leads continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma. Responsibilities include coordinating manufacturing activities, guiding teams, managing production planning and scheduling, optimizing resources, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Requires strong leadership, budget management, ERP proficiency, and excellent communication in a matrix organization, with preference for experience in aseptic or sterile manufacturing and EHS adherence. This role supports the mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of progressive manufacturing, assembly, or operations leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of progressive manufacturing, assembly, or operations leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, QSR guidelines, and ISO requirements
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource optimization
- Demonstrated ability to guide and develop effective teams
- Strong financial acumen including budget management and cost control
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in aseptic or sterile manufacturing environments preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and EHS standards
