Job Summary
Provide leadership and operational direction to the Value Added Team Members while managing production, preparation, and packaging of products. Ensure all Team Members have proper work attire, safety equipment, and training, and conduct inspections to monitor work area cleanliness and minimize product contamination. Balance quality, productivity, safety, and morale to achieve positive results, continuously improving in all areas. Notify Supervision immediately of any mechanical issues or downtime. Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and established work instructions while providing coaching and development. Maintain accurate record keeping and work closely with various departments using a continuous improvement mentality to perpetuate a "Creekstone Proud" culture.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in Retail Beef, Case Ready and cutting knowledge preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience and leadership skills in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Beef plant experience and bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
- Experience working with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to maintain high expectations for self and others, demonstrating a dedication to achievement of results.
- Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid problem solving, project management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
- Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
