Job Summary
Valuation Controller in the Valuation Control Group responsible for price verification/benchmarking and fair value adjustments across fixed-income instruments (including investment-grade and high-yield bonds, bank loans, municipal bonds). Collaborates with finance, risk, and audit to drive controls, improve valuation processes, and support regulatory Compliance; partners with business units to implement governance and valuation practices, and contributes to management reporting and tool development to enhance control efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with finance and economics major preferred
- 3+ years of related experience in fixed-income valuation
- Ability to understand complex products, and analyze transaction and process flows
- Understanding of valuation concepts as they pertain to financial products and derivatives, basic accounting knowledge
- Analytical and quantitative aptitude. Candidates with quantitative backgrounds preferred
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
