Job Summary
Validation Specialist (Radiation Therapy) on-site in Palo Alto, CA, with hybrid remote allowance. Role entails validating that Varian/Siemens Healthineers oncology products meet design and intended use, analyzing clinical practices and workflows, developing validation plans, and collaborating with Product Management, UX, and Design Engineering to ensure safe, effective, and user-friendly medical devices for radiation oncology. Travel 5-25% globally may be required. Requires clinical background in Radiation Therapy and experience with IMRT/VMAT and SRS/SBRT; familiarity with Varian ARIA/Eclipse software and related QA activities.
Required Qualifications
- Current clinical certification/registration as a Radiation Therapist
- five (5) years of Radiation Oncology clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Degree (B.A., B.S., or its foreign degree equivalent) plus five (5) years of Radiation Oncology clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Proficiency with: simulation, imaging, and treatment delivery clinical workflow including IMRT and VMAT; stereotactic radiosurgeries for brain (SRS) & lung (SBRT); knowledge of radiation safety practices
