Job Summary
Oversee daily valet operations including vehicle intake, parking, retrieval, staging, key control, and driveway traffic flow while supervising a team of attendants, supervisors, and cashiers. Lead, schedule, train, and evaluate staff to ensure consistent service standards and operational efficiency. Maintain a professional, congestion-free porte cochere during peak arrival and departure periods by monitoring staffing levels based on occupancy, group arrivals, events, and forecasted demand. Respond promptly to guest concerns, service delays, vehicle damage claims, and escalated situations while conducting shift briefings to communicate occupancy, VIP arrivals, and safety reminders. Ensure all vehicles are handled safely in accordance with company policies and maintain accurate records for tickets, keys, revenue, and incidents. Partner with hotel departments to support guest arrivals, departures, luggage assistance, and special events. Inspect equipment including radios, key cabinets, and uniforms to ensure readiness. Work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnight shifts. Valid driver's license with clean record required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of valet, parking, transportation, hospitality, or guest service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely enter, exit, and operate a wide range of guest vehicles
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull luggage and guest belongings as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, jog, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, wind, and humidity
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, evenings, overnight shifts, and high-demand event periods
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience
- Hospitality, business, or operations coursework
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Forbes Travel training
- Strong knowledge of guest service standards in a luxury, full-service, or high-volume hotel environment
