Job Summary
Valet Driver at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center performing greeting and assistance for patients and guests; open doors and assist with wheelchairs or walkers; provide directions; manage valet area access control; operate various vehicle types to/from valet areas; inspect vehicles for damage and document findings; secure vehicles and return keys; follow safety procedures and VA rules; report to duty in uniform with professional appearance; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Subject to pre-employment criminal background and DMV check
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Regularly work outdoors in inclement weather (rain, snow, heat, cold)
- Strong customer service skills; calm and professional in conflicts
- Consistent attendance and reliability
- Ability to understand, speak, and write basic English
- Regularly stand for 6-8 hours and walk quickly
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work independently and within established guidelines; follow directions and work well with others
- Valid Driver's License
- Basic technical capabilities and computer skills
- 1-year experience driving manual and automatic transmissions
- Valet experience preferred but not required
