Job Summary
Seasonal Valet Attendant provides a warm guest experience, greets guests, assists with parking, opens doors, and may shuttle guests to and from the hotel. Duties include directing vehicle traffic on property, tagging and securing guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, resolving guest concerns, and maintaining safety and compliance with OSHA PPE requirements. Requires driving a manual transmission, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and strong guest-service orientation. The role emphasizes professional service, clear communication, basic math, and the ability to use hotel telephone/computer systems; scheduling includes holidays and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Experience driving a manual transmission and a variety of types of vehicles
- Valid Drivers License in good standing with appropriate class for vehicle; passenger endorsement and medical clearance for shuttle if applicable
- Ability to serve guest needs with professional demeanor and discretion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; commitment to guest satisfaction
- Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to learn/use telephone and computer systems used at the hotel
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals
- English language proficiency
- Must be able to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends
