Job Summary
Open doors for arriving and departing guests while directing traffic to ensure vehicles are legally parked and traffic flows smoothly. Park vehicles efficiently, tag them with accurate guest information, and maintain security of vehicles and keys. Drive passengers to destinations according to schedule, load and unload luggage, and resolve guest complaints within your scope of authority. Monitor parking areas for safety hazards, unauthorized personnel, or security problems, and report unusual events, missing items, or alleged theft to management. Maintain cleanliness of transportation vehicles by removing trash and wiping down passenger areas. Follow all safety policies, OSHA laws, and Hazardous Material procedures, reporting defective equipment or unsafe conditions immediately.
Required Qualifications
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Experience driving a manual transmission and a variety of types of vehicles
- Ability to serve needs of guest through proper and careful use of the guest's vehicle and face-to-face interactions
- Ability to use discretion when contacts contain confidential/sensitive information
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to a high level of guest satisfaction
- Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to learn and use telephone and computer systems used at the hotel
- Working knowledge and skills of computer operation
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English to understand instructions, safety rules, and communicate with guests
- Must possess a valid Drivers License in good standing for the appropriate class of vehicle with good driving record
- If driving a shuttle, requires passenger endorsement and medical clearance along with a Class B License
- Must maintain a clean appearance and professional demeanor
