Job Summary
Open doors for arriving and departing guests, monitor and direct vehicle traffic to ensure legal parking and smooth flow, and park vehicles while tagging them with accurate guest information. Drive passengers to destinations according to schedule, load and unload luggage, and resolve guest complaints within scope of authority. Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas and transportation vehicles, reporting hazards or accidents to management. Follow all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and HAZMAT procedures while wearing required PPE. Work scheduled shifts including holidays and weekends, completing required training and maintaining a professional demeanor.
Required Qualifications
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Experience driving a manual transmission and a variety of types of vehicles
- Ability to serve needs of guest through proper and careful use of the guest's vehicle and face-to-face interactions
- Ability to use discretion when contacts contain confidential/sensitive information
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to a high level of guest satisfaction
- Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to learn and use telephone and computer systems used at the hotel
- Working knowledge and skills of computer operation
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
- Must possess a valid Drivers License in good standing for the appropriate class of vehicle with good driving record
- If driving a shuttle, requires passenger endorsement and medical clearance along with a Class B License
- Must maintain a clean appearance and professional demeanor
Desired Qualifications
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel
- Work schedules will include working on holidays, weekends and alternate shifts
