Job Summary
Valet Attendant at Northern WestChester Hospital location duties include providing friendly guest services, parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly, assisting with luggage, directing guests, and delivering messages and amenities. Responsibilities cover greeting guests, managing vehicle keys and claim checks, explaining parking procedures, and handling basic financials when needed. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, at least 1 month related experience or training, strong customer service skills, basic math, and ability to communicate in English; physical ability to drive, park, and assist guests, including outdoor and variable conditions. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4pm; compensation is hourly with tips, with benefits eligibility depending on role and hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license (state of application or commutable distance)
- One (1) month related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and colleagues
- Basic math: ability to add/subtract and handle money
- Understanding 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to operate a manual transmission (highly desirable)
- Ability to perform parallel parking
