Job Summary
Day and Night Shift Vactor (vacuum) truck operator responsible for safely driving and operating vacuum and hydro-excavation equipment to clean, remove, and transport liquids, sludge, and debris, including storm drains, sewer lines, lift stations, and catch basins. Maintain safety and regulatory compliance (DOT) while performing pre-trip/post-trip inspections, route navigation, and routine maintenance, with emphasis on operating in demanding environments and long shifts. The role requires independent work, strong attention to detail, physical capability for manual labor, and adherence to company policies and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required (Class A or B)
- Tanker and/or Hazmat endorsement preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- 5+ years of commercial driving or equipment operation experience preferred
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Experience operating vacuum trucks, hydro-excavation equipment, Vac-Con, septic trucks, pump trucks or similar preferred
- Skilled in operating large, heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
- High school diploma or GED preferred
