Job Summary
Conduct scheduled vacuum truck services by pumping non-hazardous liquids, sludges, and solids from customer sites, then transporting and unloading waste at designated disposal facilities. Visit multiple locations daily to complete pickups while building relationships, addressing delivery questions, and identifying needs for internal teams. Generate leads and sell additional services into existing accounts. Perform manual tasks lifting up to 75 lbs. and maneuvering equipment weighing up to 500 lbs., including working in extreme temperatures. Ensure compliance with DOT, Hazmat, and Tanker regulations by maintaining accurate logs and documentation. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and prospect for new customers. Work Monday through Friday with a well-maintained fleet, including paid training and on-the-job support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 75 lbs. and handle up to 500 lbs. using appropriate tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor weather conditions
- Prior vacuum truck services route driving, delivery driver, or commercial driving experience
- Business-to-business sales experience or ability to identify customer needs
- Knowledge of Hazmat protocols, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
- Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused environments
- Familiarity with USDOT & USEPA regulations and ability to meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Ability to operate a manual transmission
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of industrial, manufacturing, automotive business and waste generated at these locations is a plus
