Job Summary
Operate vacuum furnaces and related equipment to perform vacuum heat treatment of aerospace parts, including mixing and applying braze alloy, monitoring temperatures with instruments (pyrometer, voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter), conducting Rockwell inspections, performing visual inspections of braze joints, recording run data, ensuring equipment calibration and tooling accuracy, completing work instructions and paperwork, preparing parts for heat treatment, and maintaining a clean, compliant work area. Requires 3+ years of experience, ability to learn programming for computer controls, attention to detail, strong communication and teamwork, and knowledge of AHT/VHT processes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience
- Ability to learn programming for computer controls
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts and measuring equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of AHT and VHT processes and procedures
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and understand work order instructions and station plans
- Certifications in Rockwell, Conductivity, TYS, and Hotwork preferred
