Vacuum Forming Setup Operator

Job Summary
Read work order instructions, pull and inspect tools, and load materials into the Vacuum Forming machine while monitoring temperatures and conditions. Perform set-ups per specifications, clean equipment to reduce scrap, and verify product IDs before moving to the next phase. Continuously monitor quality by separating good parts from bad ones using traveler procedures and identifying drop material with non-traceable stickers. Communicate machine issues to the Lead, follow SOPs, and assist in training new operators with accurate demonstrations. Adhere to safety protocols, maintain housekeeping standards, and perform other duties as assigned by leadership. This role supports Fiber Pad's mission of producing high-quality products for customers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Vacuum Forming experience
- Ability to provide instruction and leadership to other team members
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentations skills
- Ability to read or learn to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to understand measurements
- Ability to compare product details to customer specifications
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and tasks at once with interruptions
- Strong editing, proofreading and math skills

- Ability to make notes on the work order of any additional improvements that could be made to the process
- Pull, inspect and load required tools per the work order

- Verifies correct VFM ID#
