Job Summary
Operate equipment such as Mig and Tig welding machines, gas torch, plasma torch, grinders, jib hoist, and overhead crane while maintaining a clean, safe workplace. Must commit to overtime when needed. Candidates must pass a weld test, with weld certification desired but not required. The position requires the ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks in prolonged postures. Reading blueprints is a desired skill. Knowledge of weld symbols, processes, and procedures is essential, along with the capability to use jigs and fixtures for weldment production.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a weld test
- Able to operate all machines and tools in the department
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in prolonged postures while performing all job tasks
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Good knowledge of weld symbols, processes, and procedures
