Vaccine for Children Coordinator (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Monitor, assess, and evaluate VFC providers to determine compliance with vaccine management, storage, and handling policies. Check and record daily Min/Max temperatures for all storage units, isolating and quarantining any vaccines outside the 35°–46°F range or below 5°F in freezers. Perform physical inventory reconciliation, resolve discrepancies, and ensure digital data loggers are downloaded monthly into OSIIS. Manage vaccine ordering, stock arrival verification, and emergency response plans while reporting practice closures to prevent delivery errors. Serve as the immunization resource for assigned providers, interpret state and federal policies, and assist in developing quality improvement protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and skills related to the use of the Georgia Registry of Immunization Transactions and Services (GRITS)
- Knowledge and skills related to the use of Centers for Disease Control's (CDC's) Vaccine Tracking System (VTrckS)
- Knowledge of current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) vaccine recommendations
- Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills
- Excellent phone etiquette
Desired Qualifications
- Medical Assistant experienced with the vaccine schedule as well as with administering vaccines
