Job Summary
Assist with mine surveying activities and data collection while gaining practical experience using surveying equipment, software, and mine planning systems. Support surveyors with field work and operational projects, collaborating with engineers, geologists, and operational teams across the site. Learn how survey data contributes to mine design, production, and compliance requirements while developing skills in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. This 12-week paid program runs November 2026 through February 2027 at Narrabri Mine, featuring camp accommodation and mentorship from experienced professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Current enrolment in a Bachelor of Surveying, Spatial Science, Geospatial Engineering or a related discipline
- A genuine interest in the mining and resources industry
- A strong commitment to safety, integrity and continuous improvement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
