Job Summary
Conduct safety inspections, audits, and workplace observations while supporting health, safety, and risk management initiatives across the site. Participate in incident investigations to develop corrective actions, assist with hazard identification and risk assessments, and contribute to projects supporting continuous improvement in safety performance. Collaborate with operational teams and supervisors to promote safe work practices, gain exposure to legislative compliance, and build practical skills in communication and problem solving. This 12-week paid program runs November 2026 through February 2027 with camp accommodation provided, offering mentoring from experienced professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Current enrolment in a Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
- A genuine interest in workplace health and safety within the mining and resources industry
- A strong commitment to safety, integrity and continuous improvement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
