Job Summary
Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, leading RFIs, RFQs, and supplier evaluations from concept through industrialization. Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to support product teams with cost estimates, sourcing recommendations, and purchasing expertise while ensuring deliverables align with project milestones. Act as the primary purchasing contact for prototypes, tooling, and NRE to ensure timely material availability, monitor supplier quality and delivery performance, and identify opportunities to reduce costs and supply chain risks. Maintain supplier and procurement master data in SAP, perform Total Cost of Ownership evaluations, and stay informed on compliance regulations including RoHS and REACH. Requires 3–5 years of technical purchasing experience, fluent English, and willingness to travel approximately 10% internationally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
- 3–5 years of purchasing experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Experience managing purchasing activities within New Product Introduction (NPI) or stage-gated product development projects
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with supplier selection, RFIs/RFQs, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management
- Knowledge of product costing, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Incoterms, and supply chain risk assessment
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10%)
Desired Qualifications
- Ideally within electronics or electromechanical products
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or Product Data Management (PDM) tools
- Knowledge of Dutch and/or French
- Willingness to learn Dutch and/or French
