Job Summary
Coordinate a comprehensive high school student activities program to include athletics and middle school athletics; plan and oversee intramural and interscholastic events; supervise athletic coaches and student activity sponsors; assist with screening coaching applications and making recommendations; manage facilities, transportation, budgets, and eligibility for students; develop plans to promote positive public relations within the school community and through official social media; requires a Postgraduate Professional License with graduate study in supervision/administration and five years of teaching/administration experience; prior Varsity level head coaching experience is preferred. This role entails coordinating schedules, preparing contracts and calendars, ensuring compliance with Virginia High School League rules, and maintaining equipment, budgets, and records while supporting overall school operations.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate Professional License with graduate study in supervision, administration, and/or curriculum
- five years of successful experience in teaching and/or administration
- previous Varsity level head coaching experience is preferred, but not required
- ability to communicate effectively, provide leadership to diverse groups, prioritize workload, and work with little supervision
