VA Work-Study Student – Veteran Benefits Outreach & Digital Engagement

Job Summary
Develop and publish informational content explaining VA education benefits and veteran services for social media. Respond to general veteran inquiries by providing resource links and referral guidance. Assist in preparation and support of veteran outreach events while tracking engagement metrics and documenting frequently asked questions. Perform administrative tasks directly related to veteran benefits outreach. This remote position includes occasional local in-person veteran outreach events in Bakersfield, CA, with compensation provided through the VA Work-Study Allowance Program. Candidates must be enrolled at 3/4 training time or greater and eligible for the program.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible for the VA Work-Study Allowance Program
- Enrolled at 3⁄4 training time or greater
- Strong written communication skills
- Professional and reliable
- Able to work independently in a remote setting
- Local to Bakersfield area for occasional outreach events
- Familiar with social media
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with GI Bill or VR&E
- Experience creating digital content
- Interest in veteran services or workforce development
